George Wyndham at the V&A, London, UK

This cast bronze sculpture of George Wyndham was cast by Auguste Rodin. Wyndham was a distinguished Politician and writer, he strongly supported Rodin's work in Britain and presided over a banquet in the artist's honour in 1902 to mark the presentation to the V&A of the sculpture St. John the Baptist. Wyndham said of Rodin's portrait of him, 'It is so true and living that looking at the throat one expects to see the bust swallow'.
