3D modely ARTSeated Buddha at the Guimet Museum, ParisThis is a large scale sculpture of a buddha, createcd in the Heian style. It originates from Japan, created in the first half of the XI century. It is made out of wood with traces of laquer paint which was to suggest that this was a highly decorated buddha placed in a temple. It is created in the Warihagi-Zukuri style where it was carved out of one piece of wood before being decorated by paint. The hand positions in a buddha's pose can help identify its purpose or what it represents. Its right hand raised, and palm open facing outwards (Karana Mudra) resembles the expulsion of negative energy; the left hand rests facing upwards on the lap, the Varada Mudra, which represents compassion, sincerity and wish granting. náhodný výběr modelů
