3D modely ARTDamaged German Stahlhelm Helmet at The Imperial War Museum, LondonDuring the war many farmers lost their land due to the violence that ensued. The landowners' crops were destroyed and because of the resulting hazards of undetonated bombs, mines and corpses this meant that much of their farmland was left redundant for the unforseeable future. With this came the rise of 'War Tourism' where landowners would salvage war trophies and prizes from their land and sell it on to 'tourists' such as soldiers, locals and other visitors to the area. This helmet is an example of one of these war trophies; as you can see from the puncture wounds on the helmet there are only impact holes, none coming out the other side. This was a common sight; many soldiers would purchase helmets from these unofficial merchants and would manually destroy them by punching holes through them. These helmets would then be taken back home and used as a tool for hyperbollic storytelling. The Imperial War Museum have held onto this helmet to open the public to these happenings. náhodný výběr modelů
