Rhinos attacking a Tiger at the Tuileries Garden in Paris, France

This sculpture is by French artist Auguste Nicholas Caïn (1822-1894). He was well known for his works depiciting wild and domestic animals. This piece, as the title suggests, features a rhinoceros being attacked by a tiger while it has in turn attacked a tiger which is belly-up below him. The placard dates the work 1882-1884 and indicates it was installed here in 1884.
