3D modely ARTPanel depicting The Last Judgement at The British Museum, LondonTitle Panel depicting The Last Judgement Artist Unknown Date ca. 1420-1460 Medium Alabaster and gold Dimensions H, 610 mm; W, 240 mm; D, 60 mm Accession # 1910.1208.2 Credit Acquired 1910, donated by Max Rosenheim and The Art Fund (as NACF) This alabaster panel would have formed part of an altar showing the Last Judgement. This event was sometimes thought, in the Middle Ages, to be preceded by fifteen different signs, of which this is the tenth. This sign shows men and women walking about, insensible, and unable to communicate with each other. The sculptor has portrayed the inability to communicate in a remarkably convincing way. There are seven figures, of whom two are women with fashionable horned headdresses. The eyes of the figures do not look at each other and their hands are raised to feel their surroundings or rest on each other's shoulders. This has mistakenly been catalogued as the tenth sign of the Last Judgement. It is much more likely to be the thirteenth sign, which is the day when all of the stars will fall from Heaven. This was scanned part of a set of three other alabaster panels depicting The Last Judgement, all of which are free to download from Scan the World. náhodný výběr modelů
