Eugénie Maria Wynne at The V&A, London

Mrs Wynne was familiar with both the London and Paris art worlds, having grown up in both cities. This sensitive portrait shows Dalou's preferred method of modelling in terracotta, rather than carving in marble. His methods and teaching were to have great impact on the younger generation of British sculptors. Sculpted by Aimé-Jules Dalou in 1875.
