Wahibre at The British Museum, London

This Basalt kneeling naophorus statue depicts Wahibre, who held many important offices. He is shown holding on his knees a shrine or naos containing a figure of Osiris, the god of the Dead. Inscriptions around the plinth and down the back-pillar give Wahibre's titles, parents' names and ask for offerings to be given. It was created around the Twenty-Sixth Dynasty, circa 530 BC.
