Baptismal Font at The V&A, London

This sculpture is from the Cast Courts in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. This cast shows a font that is in the cathedral in Siena. The decoration combiles biblical subjects with scenes from classical mythology. Antonio Federighi was the architect of the cathedral and apprentice to Jacopo della Quercia. The baptismal cont was made around 1482-1500.
