Lion Wearing a Cavalier at the Guimet Museum, Paris

This sculpture of a lion dates to te 10th century and was acquired by the Guimet, where it is now on display, in 1936. It is made of sandstone and in the style of Tra Kieu, also the name of the area in Vietname where this piece is from.
