Lysias at The Palace of Versailles, France

Lysias (445 BC – c. 380 BC) was a logographer (speech writer) in Ancient Greece. He was one of the ten Attic oratorsincluded in the "Alexandrian Canon" compiled by Aristophanes of Byzantiumand Aristarchus of Samothrace in the third century BC. Read more about him here
This is a marble sculpture by French Jean Dedieu (1646-1727), completed in 1685 and is on permanent display in the Gardens of the Palace of Versailles in France.
