Donated by Don Rayet, 1873 Originating from the Kéros province this head in the form of a lyre, with a truncated nose, belonged to a figurine which was presented standing with arms folded at the chest, legs together and feet extended, conforming to the many other idols created at this time. From the proportions observed from the variety in Kéros this statuette would have measued approximately 1.5 metres tall in full, making it one of the largest known specimens of his type.
