3D modely ARTPottery Figure at The British Museum, LondonTitle Pottery figure Artist Unknown Date Classic Veracruz, AD 300-1200 Medium Terracotta Dimensions Approx 15cm Accession # Ethno. 1982 Am 24.1 Smiling heads originally formed part of ceramic figurines with outstretched arms (like this one) which have been found in groups surrounding high-status burials in southern Veracruz. They may represent individuals who were given an inebriating potion, perhaps cacao mixed with ololiohqui seeds (Morning Glory; Rivea Corymbosa) to induce euphoria before being sacrificed. The symbols on the headdresses possibly signify the patron deities of each month. náhodný výběr modelů
