White Horse at The Guimet Museum, Paris

This lifesize sculpture is a rare piece from the North of China originating from the Tang Dynasty in the VIII Century. The piece is terracotta but has been painted with a fine white slip. The sculpture depicts a saddled horse with one leg raised.
