Lion at Westminster Southbank, London

This 13-ton, larger than life sculpture of a lion stands to the side of Westminster Bridge in London. The sculpture is made of Coarse stone, a special sort of granite that has been fired twice instead of once. It has been erected there permanently since 1837.
